Paper Route’s Top 10 of 2009
Earlier today our good friends in Paper Route tweeted: “RT @FILTERmagazine: @PaperRoute Top 10 of 2009 is awesome, and live on our site!” Well, being the overly excited nerds that we so desperately try to conceal, we assumed that FILTER listed Paper Route’s “Absence” as one of their favorite albums of 2009… unfortunately this was not the case. Nevertheless, Paper Route did compile quite the impressive list for FILTER and were modest enough to omit their own album.
Paper Route’s Top 10 of 2009
1. Bat For Lashes- Two Suns
2. Manchester Orchestra- Mean Everything To Nothing
3. Silversun Pickups- Swoon
4. Animal Collective- Merriweather Post Pavillion
5. Grizzly Bear- Veckatimest
6. Brand New- Daisy
7. Wilco- Wilco (The Album)
8. Phoenix- Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
9. Fiery Furnaces- Friendly Fires
10. Wild Beasts – Two Dancers
Paper Route is one of the few bands who not only make music that we listen to incessantly, but their video content and homemade animation is absolutely captivating.
Check back here on January 1st to see if Paper Route makes RethinkPopMusic’s Top 10 of 2009.

Murder Rebel Radio 22: The Rex Malone Memorial Tribute
[flashvideo file=http://murderrebelradio.com/storage/audio/mrr22.mp3 /]
We hit the end of year lists and take a giant, technical difficulty filled shit on Peter Travers list. We talk about people that change their name in their 40′s to wrestler names. We also spend some time on a man that Bryan knew that died last year, and that man was Rex Malone.
