Scoundrels – “Gulf Of Mexico” (video)

About a month ago, we posted the audio stream of Scoundrels‘ latest single, ‘Gulf Of Mexico’. Today, just ahead of their debut LP launch party at Ginglik in Shepherd’s Bush tomorrow night (30 June), they’ve premiered the video to the single online.

Up-and-coming British actor Leo Wyndham plays a busker who becomes disillusioned with life in the UK, and longs to return to the cajun, zydeco infused culture of Louisiana, where the band spent some much publicised time year. As we’ve said before, it’s a great track, which is now accompanied with a charming and beautifully shot clip that should see their stock rise even further.

The self titled album was released on Monday. It’s available digitally, or if you’d like to go all retro, there’ll be hard copies available at the gig tomorrow. A live version of ‘Arrogance Blues’ (recorded at Riflemaker Studios) is downloadable via their website now.
