London gigs diary: 24 September – 30 September

Sydney’s Deep Sea Arcade play 2 shows in London this week, including Windmill on Friday.

Three big gigs on Tuesday night should get the week off to a flying start: Israel Cannan headlines The Enterprise in celebration of his new single “Heart Of Mine” (out digitally on LFC on 1 October), with support from Jade Hopcroft. Los Angeles’ The Neighbourhood play a free show at Birthdays – their UK debut – which is sure to be a very lively one. Over at Rough Trade East, Mumford And Sons play a very intimate show to showcase their long-anticipated new album, Babel. Wednesday night sees the return of the Club Killing Moon series at The Bull Gate, with their new signings Duologue headlining. Some interesting shows on Thursday night, including the launch of Music Week Breakout at XOYO, and recent Columbia signings Peace at Barfly, with support from the buzzy Temples and JAWS. On Friday night, there’s only really one place to be – and that’s our show at The Windmill in Brixton where we host the fabulous Aussie outfit Deep Sea Arcade on their latest European tour. Support comes from Israel Cannan, Low Moon Low and Whistlejacket.
